Im not sure where to put this thread so for now it will be in the OFFSHORE forum...

Charles Langer and Myself have decided to have a head-2-head cap-off I guess you could call it...Here are the rules for the contest:

Stakes: $ 300.00

Dates: Starts DEC 25......ENDS FEB 1st..

Rules: Pretty basic.....Player starts off with $5000.00 fictional bankroll (BR)....

1 BET MIN. Per day regardless of # of games.......

MIN. BET:....$ 100.00
MAX BET .....$ 750.00

Any sport or bet type may be used as your plays....IE) NBA,NCAA,NFL,World JUniors, Skeet shooting, jai lai, arm wrestling, log rolling...whatever..

Plays must be listed like so.......

Chicago Bulls +8 (-110) 2:45pm (OLY)

Seattle Sonics OVER 210.5 3:15am (cris)

Eligible Books are: PINNY, OLY, CRIS, HOLLYWOOD, SKYBOOK, 5 DIMES.....

Player with highest Bankroll wins.........

Why? Its very sports related, uses all RX sponsors (except five dimes), and will be helpful to posters....You guys run the show so its your call, but I think it is a bit much throwing it the Rubber Room with Baseballl GUy's threads....

Serious Question, not trying to be a dick but......if it were:

Journeyman vs. Madcapper ....this thread would still be in Offshore....

Guys, we dont promote gambling between posters, nor do we allow picks in offshore forum, so you will have to this down here in the rubber room, if you're going to do it....

The RX has nothing to do with posters gambling against each other, or the enforcement of such wagers....

I'm not very happy w/ this location:

it's both disrespectful & hypocritic.

To be stuck out of view in a room designed for flaming....

and then "not promoting gambling between posters", but yes between posters & advertisers...

Not even an off-topic excuse will work here, as just about anything is talked about in off-shore.

Plus, i just had a post edited... i'm not very happy with the overall kindergarten treatment received at the hands of bribe-taking 'leaders', when really serious **** is allowed to go on w/o impunity.

So, i apologize to you & bow out. Pls let me know how to settle this & your thoughts...

AS for the thread being moved, I can understand it but what I dont get is the inconsistency with some MODS...either move all questionable threads or move none...Look at offshore board right now and see all the useless threads....

Its really none of my business but I couldnt help myself to weigh in.
Personally, taking $150 is deplorable when you consider your contest hasnt even started. Chuck bowed out for reasons I can understand and your trying to profit from it. Sometimes we have to gentlemen about these things.

I agree with you somewhat...I like CHUCKYLANGER and hope he comes back..hes an asset to the Forum..The reasons he left were valid, as alot of quetionable sh*t has been put in the RR lately..The mods have been very heavy handed in the last little while.....However the other side of the story is that I never extended my little challenge to CHUCKY, it was too BASEBALL GUY.....BUT CHUCKY piped up and called me on...

AS for saying the contest hasnt started, that is incorrect....We had made one nights worth of picks and I was UP +1.90 Units on him......So that has to be taken into account....

I think a fair solution is this: CHUCKYLANGER comes back,pays me $150.00....THEN he has the option to WIN that money back in a head 2 head NFL PLAYOFF CONTEST for $150.00...ALSO, in good faith this thread should be moved into the NFL FORUM where all picks will be displayed.....

I think this is fair.......And if CHUCKLESLANGER doesnt currently have the cash, then he can still come back to the forum and pay me the whole 300.00 after I win the playoff contest .....PEACE...
